Planetoid Glass Field

Approaching glass field. Scans indicate this body was once a minor planetoid. The large dense mass of glass appears to have been its core. What we see now are the cooled remains of a super heating event. As it spun, strands of molten glass spiraled away from the core, creating sharp bands of glass and slowing the planetoid's spin to a crawl.
Beware of sharp debris.
