The Dramatic Destruction of a Planet

Art depicting the destruction of a planet as a show of force in the midst of a galactic cold war.
I've chosen to depict this destruction in a very dramatic fashion. Lava spray through cracks that have formed throughout the planet all the way down to the core. The magnetic field of the planet is being shattered, depicted with the beam activating aurora across the planet. The fireball is as bright as the planet's home star.
